“With this collection I am striving to find refreshing and energizing ways to combine age old craftsmanship with modern form,” said John Sorensen-Jolink, founder and creative director of Coil + Drift.  “I want to inspire conversation by pairing together materials like cement and walnut, leather and steel, in a modern, sleek way.  Today we’re presenting a fresh collection of contemporary sustainable American furniture and objects, made by hand entirely in Brooklyn.”

Sorensen-Jolink draws from and extensive background as a dancer and choreographer, beginning his practice of design three years ago after learning craftsmanship skills at with the incredible team at Makeville Studios.  Coil + Drift’s work has recently been shown by Design Sponge (editorial), Apartment Therapy (instagram), InHabitat (editorial), Fast Company (online), A Blog About Love, and was recently nominated for InHabitat’s Green Design Award at BKLYN DESIGNS.
